A 2-day festival was organized by the TONO Festival to bring together international artists to collaborate on video installations. The event was organized by the TONO Festival, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting time-based art. The festival’s aim is to create new and innovative works that push the boundaries of video art. The organizers believe that collaboration between international artists will lead to the creation of unique and groundbreaking works. The festival was held at a unique venue – a former warehouse in the city of Querétaro. The venue was transformed to accommodate the various video installations. The event featured a diverse range of artists, with some being well-known and others being up-and-coming.
The Origins of TONO
The TONO festival was born out of a desire to create a platform for artists to showcase their work in a unique and innovative way. Sam Ozer, the festival’s founder, aimed to bridge the gap between different art forms and genres, bringing together artists from various backgrounds and disciplines. This vision has led to the creation of a diverse and eclectic festival that has gained a significant following worldwide.
The 2025 Edition
The 2025 edition of TONO is particularly notable for its international reach.
The Concept Behind TONO
TONO is a festival of sound art that aims to create a unique experience for its attendees. The festival features a diverse range of sound art performances, including music, spoken word, and visual art. The performances are often experimental and avant-garde, pushing the boundaries of what is considered music or art.
The Festival Experience
Attending a TONO festival is a sensory experience that engages multiple senses.
The second edition was bigger, with over 60 artists and collectives participating.
This struggle is often due to the lack of resources and infrastructure. The festival format, in which artists can produce their projects in just a few months, allows them to complete their projects quickly and efficiently, thanks to the support of a team of professionals and the resources of the festival itself.
We have a huge audience, so that’s what makes it the biggest art show in the city. We have about 40% of the people coming from the lower classes, which is a very interesting demographic. We have people from all over Mexico, and also from Central America and South America.
The Unique Architecture of Mexico’s Museums
Mexico’s museums are a treasure trove of architectural wonders, each one a testament to the country’s rich cultural heritage. From the grandeur of the Palacio de Bellas Artes to the modernity of the Museo Soumaya, every building is a work of art in its own right.
