UK’s Nighttime Festivals Face Devastating Blow Due to Planning Laws

This summer’s UK festival season is under threat after a High Court ruling found that Lambeth Council did not have the correct planning permission for a series of music events at Brockwell Park in south London.

A series of events, including the Mighty Hoopla, Cross The Tracks and Wide Awake, were due to take place at the park from May 23rd to June 8th. However, a resident, Rebekah Shaman, won a court case challenging the council’s decision to grant permission for the events.
