Becoming the best street musician busker

Becoming the best street musician: A blog about how to become the best busker, including helpful tips on how to set up and where to find good places.

The main purpose of this blog is to share my knowledge and experiences with you. From my own experience I know how hard it can be to start a new life as a street musician. I hope that with my help and advices you can make your dream come true.

My name is John Doe and I am a street musician since 12 years now. I started as a teenager, playing music in the subway of big cities such as London or Paris.

I have been traveling around the world for many years, trying to see as much as possible of our beautiful planet while earning money and having fun doing what I love most: making music!

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog about becoming the best street musician busker! I will be posting here every day with new tips and tricks on how to make it big.

On today’s blog, I will be discussing how to set up your equipment. You need a small table, a good quality mic and amp, and the right outfit.

The table is important because you want to have a lapel mic so that you can move around without worrying about tripping over wires. The best mic is the Shure SM58-LC Cardioid Dynamic Vocal Microphone. It costs $100 at Guitar Center (that’s where I got mine). The amp is next in importance. You need something loud enough to reach people all the way down the street and portable enough to carry on your back when you’re moving from spot to spot. So far I’ve been using a Fender Rumble 100 100-Watt Bass Amp and it does the trick for me but if anyone has any other suggestions please share!

The outfit is also very important. You want something that makes you look professional but casual at the same time. I usually wear jeans and a nice top with a blazer on top of that. In terms of footwear, comfortable walking shoes are always best

My goal is to help others to learn about busking and to become the best busker they can be. This blog will cover setting up as a busker, finding the best places to busk, how much money can be made from busking and how you can reach your goals as a street musician.

I’ve been busking for about a year now and have some experience that I’d like to share.

My first time busking was a downright disaster – I didn’t bring enough money, I wasn’t prepared for the weather, people were all over the place and I didn’t know how to set up my equipment properly.

I learned a lot that day though, so I thought I would share what I’ve learned on this blog.

What are you waiting for? Get out there and start playing!

Busking is the practice of performing in public places for gratuities. In many countries the rewards are generally in the form of money but other gratuities such as food, drink or gifts may be given.

Busking is practiced all over the world by men, women and children and dates back to antiquity. People engaging in this practice are called street performers or buskers.

Performances are anything that people find entertaining. Performers may do acrobatics, animal tricks, balloon twisting, caricatures, clowning, comedy, contortions, escapology, dance, singing, fire skills, flea circus, fortune-telling, juggling, magic tricks, mime acts, living statue act (whereby a person pretends to be a statue), musical performance (e.g., monologue singing or playing an instrument), puppeteering (of hand puppets), snake charming,[citation needed] storytelling or reciting poetry or prose (e.g., Shakespeare), street art such as sketching and painting,[citation needed] street theatre,[citation needed] sword swallowing,[citation needed] and ventriloquism.[citation needed]
