Rod Stewart has announced the first leg of his upcoming 2008 tour dates. Rod Stewart tickets for the first leg of his 2008 North American tour will go on sale Saturday, October 13 at 10am. The UK rock legend will be touring in support of his new album Still the Same…Great Rock Classics of Our Time.

Rod Stewart has been performing for more than 40 years. But even at 68, he does not seem to have lost any of his charm. He is still popular with people of all ages. His songs have been topping the charts for decades now.

The legendary musician has so far sold over 125 million records worldwide and had 6 consecutive number one albums in the UK from 1977 to 2004 and 16 top 10 singles in the US including 3 number ones. He also has won 6 Grammy awards to date and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.

His latest album “Time” was released in 2013 with a number of hit songs like “She Makes Me Happy”, “It’s Over”, “Beautiful Morning” and “Finest Woman”. In honor of his album release, he did a full tour last year with several performances throughout North America, Europe and Australia. Rod Stewart has confirmed that he will be returning to the UK and Ireland with his The Hits tour this winter, taking in 12 dates across December 2012 and January 2013.

The tour will begin on December 6th at London’s O2 Arena, before stopping off at Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester, amongst others. It will culminate at The O2 on 21st January.

The rock star recently announced the release of his new album ‘Time’ which is due out on May 7th. The album features a number of notable collaborations, including ‘It’s Over’ with Lily Allen and ‘Sexual Religion’ with Miguel.

Musician Rod Stewart has confessed to having his hairline surgically restored to its former glory.

After years of speculation about the 66-year-old singer’s famous coiffure, Stewart has revealed that he had a hair transplant in the United States.

The star, who has been a sex symbol since his days in The Faces and The Jeff Beck Group in the late 1960s, made the admission during an interview with US chat show host David Letterman.

“It was a bit of vanity I suppose,” Stewart told Letterman when asked if he had had surgery on his head.

“I think you call it a thatch,” Letterman replied.

Stewart replied: “You can call it many things.”
