The statue busker, sometimes called the “living statue” or “street performer”, is a street artist who poses like a statue or mannequin, usually with realistic statue-like makeup, sometimes for hours at a time. When a passerby places money in the hat (or other container) in front of the statue, the statue comes to life and performs some brief entertainment before returning to pose.

I’ve been a fine artist for most of my life, and a busker (street performer) for the last two years. I’m still teaching art, but wanted to pursue a more creative lifestyle with more freedom to travel, so I took up busking, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

I am based out of Bristol RI, but have traveled throughout New England and sometimes further. My specialty is realistic human figurative sculpture. I started with the classical busts and quickly discovered that people love full body statues, especially those that are interactive!

I am available for hire for festivals, parties, special events or private shows. Let me know how I can be a part of your next event!

I worked as a statue busker throughout my sophomore year of college. I have always been interested in public art and sculpture and was able to put my artistic skills to work while earning some money. Working as a statue busker is a great way to spend an afternoon since you are getting paid to do what you love!
