This blog is about how your favorite street dancers got started.
How to get started?
If you are a beginner, I recommend you start with a good introduction to hip hop basics and I also recommend that you take some classes from good teachers.
I think the best way to learn dance is by watching other dancers and learning from them. The more dancers you watch, the better dancer you will become.
What can I learn from other dancers?
If you watch other dancers, you will see the different styles they have and you will also see the different ways they can move their body. You can learn from them and copy their movements.
What are some of the most popular styles?
The top style of dance is called “Street” because it’s what people do on the streets. It’s not really street dancing but more like “street dancing.” There are many different types of street dancing but I think hip hop is the most popular style.
We interviewed some of the best street dancers in the world and asked them how they got started with street dancing. Below you will find out what each of these incredible dancers had to say about their start.
– “I just did it” – Lil’ Rick, New York City
– “Practice, practice, practice!” – Ken Swift, New York City
– “Just dance like no one is watching!” – Crazy Legs, New York City
Do you want to get started with street dancing? Well, here are some tips.
1. Find a friend that can dance and ask them to teach you.
2. Go to your local YMCA or go on YouTube and find some videos to watch.
3. Practice every day for at least 20 minutes-1 hour.
4. Do not give up! It takes a lot of practice to become a good dancer. But if you stick with it, it will pay off in the end.
Before he was the owner of an upscale dance studio in Chicago, Andres De La Cruz spent time street dancing in the concrete jungles of New York City.
“You would just walk down the street and see people dancing on the side,” De La Cruz said. “There are a lot of established crews in New York.”
De La Cruz took a chance, entered a battle and was invited to join the prestigious Massive Monkees crew. He said his experience with Massive Monkees helped him become more disciplined and gave him the opportunity to learn from the best street dancers in New York. From there, he moved on to join another well-known crew called Artists Simply Human.
De La Cruz said street dancing taught him how to stay motivated even if no one shows up for practice.
“You’re going out there and you’re trying to make something happen,” De La Cruz said. “It’s not just about ‘Oh, I’m going to come into this room and practice.'”
While the street dance culture has always been a part of hip hop culture, the emergence of social media has opened up new lanes for dancers to grow. The world is now familiar with several street dancers who have found success in music videos, commercials, concerts and live performances.

How Do I Start Street Dancing?
Just like with any other form of dance, the best way to start learning street dances is by taking classes. There are two main types of classes: beginner/intermediate classes and advanced classes. Beginner/intermediate classes focus on learning the basics of street dance such as footwork and basic steps. Advanced classes focus on learning more complex moves and routines. In both types of classes, you will be taught by professional dancers who have experience teaching beginners. They will guide you through each step of the process so that you can learn at your own pace without being overwhelmed by difficult moves or routines too early on in your training.
What Style Should I Learn?
There are many different styles of street dance from hip hop to popping to krumping; it can be overwhelming trying to choose which one is right for you! The
Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. The dance industry responded with a commercial, studio-based version of hip-hop—sometimes called “new style”—and a hip-hop influenced style of jazz dance called “jazz-funk”.
