If you are familiar with the term busker, for those not familiar a busker is an entertainer who performs in public places for tips. Busking is a form of street performance and/or artistic expression.

According to Wikipedia, there are many different types of buskers.

Buskers may attract a crowd with elaborate props or costumes, and often interact with their audience or by playing music or magic tricks. I have to admit that when I was younger and had time to spare, I used to love going downtown and watching the different acts of the street performers. Although I can’t say that I have seen any buskers that would qualify as being one of the best, there are many that are extremely talented.

As a kid I remember going downtown and watching the break dancers on cardboard in front of the Bay store, it was such a fun thing to do. They were so talented for kids their age! The best part was that we were able to give them some money after watching their show! There were also many other acts such as musicians, mimes, magicians and all sorts of other things! It was just a great experience and if you ever have the chance to visit somewhere like this, definitely take advantage of it!

In a city of 8.4 million people, it can be pretty tough to stand out from the crowd. But these buskers do just that, with some pretty amazing performances. Here are our picks for the best buskers in New York City.

Busker is an old-fashioned word for street performer. Like most words that fall out of regular use, it seems a bit quaint now–you might even say twee. It reminds me of the way English speakers in the 1800s started saying German for car or bicycle.

Busking as a profession has also fallen out of fashion. The days when you could make a living singing on the street are long gone, so if you see someone busking today, it’s probably because they have day jobs and do it for fun. Which is another reason why buskers seem twee: they’re like people who go to Renaissance fairs in their spare time.

Except some buskers are not twee at all. Some are astonishingly good. So good that I would pay to see them perform in a regular theater (which I suppose kind of defeats the purpose of busking). And there are plenty more who are almost as good, and still more who are very good but just not my taste (nothing wrong with them, just not what I’m into). In fact, even among people who don’t think they like buskers, many would change their minds if they saw the right one.

This is not obvious to most people because most cities–even the

The word busking comes from the Spanish root word buscar, which means “to seek.” Buskers take this “seeking” to the streets of cities around the world and use music, dance, magic and other forms of performance art to create, promote and sell their art.

Buskers are all about being spontaneous. They perform on street corners, in subways and in parks for tips and sometimes to book gigs. They’re street performers who sing and dance for anyone who happens to walk by.

The best buskers are entertaining, talented musicians or dancers who know how to connect with their audience. They’re not afraid to be daring and take risks; some take it one step further by dressing up as a clown or superhero!

The world is full of talented people looking for an audience, but only a handful can make it as professional performers. So what makes a person successful at busking? Let’s take a look at some things that might help you become one of those few lucky ones who can make money doing what they love every day!

Here’s what we think are some of the most important attributes:

A great personality – Buskers need to have personalities that are both engaging and interesting so that people want to stop and listen (or watch). It

Busking is the practice of performing in public places for tips and gratuities. The word busking was first noted in the English language around the middle 1860s in Great Britain. It comes from the Spanish root word buscar, which means “to seek”.

The practice itself has been dated back to antiquity, and has been a part of many cultures throughout history. It was developed as a way to make money without having to get a traditional job, and it became very popular in America during the Great Depression. Buskers are commonly known by many names, including street performers, buskers, street artists, sidewalk entertainers and street musicians.

A busker’s repertoire can include everything from classical music to blues, ragtime and jazz, magic tricks, comedy, poetry reading or recitations of prose. Some buskers use unusual instruments. A common form in recent times, especially in North America due to its popularity on streets of New Orleans, is brass bands playing jazz or blues music.

Busking is usually practiced by amateurs or semi-professionals who perform publicly on streets or other public places for gratuities (money), which is generally considered an honest living by performers. Professional buskers may perform in a variety of settings such as at festivals or
