Learn to Dance With a Robot is all about how you can learn street dance in your free time. It will be a series of blog posts that will help you to get better at dancing.
The aim of this project is to get enough data to learn how to make a robot dance like human. The first step would be to understand the movements that are involved in the dance form. Then these movements will be analyzed using machine learning for the robot to learn. This blog will be a step by step guide on how you can use machine learning for dancing and what challenges we faced on the way.
Robot Street Dance is a blog around how you can learn street dance in your free time.
This blog is meant for people who are interested in dance and want to explore their creative side. I will be writing my experiences and thoughts on this blog.
If you are interested in street dance and would like to learn it for free, this blog is for you. You will find short videos of original choreographies recorded by a robot (a Kinect) and comments on the various steps. The aim is to show how technology can be used to facilitate learning and to give examples of the potential of artificial intelligence in the field of dance.
Learn to dance with a robot
The first video below shows an example of what you can learn if you follow the proposed method. It is recorded with a Kinect and represents an original choreography performed by a robot trained to imitate human movements.
I’ve always wanted to dance. I love dancing. I’m not good at it and that’s what has stopped me from trying to learn how to dance. I’ve tried to learn on my own but I end up getting frustrated and giving up. I was about to give up when my friend told me about a robot that could help me become a better dancer in my free time.
The robot is called R-Dance and it’s the latest in robotic technology. It was designed by a group of students at Stanford University for the purpose of helping people learn how to dance. It works by using sensors to detect your movements and then gives you feedback on how well you’re doing. This feedback comes in the form of audio cues, visual cues or even tactile stimuli like a pat on the back or a nudge in the right direction.
This robot can teach you any style of dance including; hip-hop, salsa, bachata, kizomba etc… The robot is capable of learning new moves as well so if there’s something specific you’d like it to teach you just let me know!
Do you want to learn street dance?
It’s a great way to keep fit, meet new people and have fun.
You can learn at home or in a group, depending on what you prefer.
Here is how you can get started!
There are two main types of street dance: popping and locking. Popping involves taking turns to do different things at once, while locking involves repeating the same thing over again. You might think that this would make dancing boring, but it actually makes dancing more interesting because each person has their own style and moves differently from each other. For example, some people like doing tricks like “backflips” or “waving” while others prefer simple moves like “walking”. This means there will always be something new for everyone involved in street dance.
The best part about learning street dance is that it doesn’t cost anything! All you need are some comfortable clothes (like jeans or shorts), shoes that fit well (make sure they’re not too tight), and maybe even a friend to practice with if possible. So what are you waiting for? Go out there and start dancing!
Street dance is a term for hip-hop style dance. It’s called street dance because it was created in the streets and not in a dance studio. Street dancing is about freedom of expression and your own personal style.
Dancing comes naturally to humans, so street dancing could be seen as just an extension of playing as youngsters. However, if you want to take it more seriously there are some basic steps that underlie all street dancing moves.
This video from Howcast shows you the simple basics of street dancing, like the running man and robot, which can be combined with other moves.
Learning to street dance will improve your coordination and flexibility, as well as being great fun. And you’ll stay fit without even trying!
Dancing is a great way to relieve your stress. It can make you feel alive and happy! But what if you have no one to dance with? Or nobody to teach you? Both of these issues can be solved by the use of robots, and the dancing robot we will be working with today is called NAO.
NAO is a humanoid robot that was released in 2008 by Aldebaran Robotics. It stands around 58cm tall and has 23 degrees of freedom and a variety of sensors, such as an accelerometer and gyroscope for tracking movement, a sonar sensor for detecting obstacles and proximity, cameras for image recognition and tracking, as well as touch sensors on its head, shoulders, hands and feet.
This allows NAO to interact with its environment in a number of ways. As well as tracking motion (for example when it is moving or falling), this data can be used to track dance movements too. NAO also has speech recognition capabilities which can be used to detect commands given by its user e.g. ‘NAO Dance’ could trigger the robot into performing some moves.
In this blog post we are going to get NAO up and running so that it can perform some simple dance moves, then we will look
