Looking For A Street Performer for Your Next Event? Here Are The Basic Guidelines:

The street performer is usually a low-cost option for your event. They are usually less expensive than a live band, DJ, or celebrity. They can be found at any time of the year. However, many of them are college students and may not be available during the school year.

Street performers are best for outdoor events in places that have heavy foot traffic such as shopping malls and amusement parks. They can also be used for indoor events such as parties but be sure that you have enough entertainment to keep the guests busy because street performers often draw a crowd, which can take up space in your event.

Most street performers will not take any payment upfront so you need to tip them before they start entertaining at your event. The standard tip is $100 although some will accept as little as half of that amount. This allows you to cancel if you are unhappy with the performance without losing money. Most street performers will also offer a guaranteed minimum show which means that if they play two shows, they will guarantee one of them to be good even if it is raining or snowing.

When hiring a street performer ask if they have any limitations on what

Need a street performer for your next event? Here are the basic guidelines:

What kind of event are you planning?

How much money do you have to spend?

Are you expecting a large audience, or just a small group?

Do you want the performer to be interactive with the audience, or just perform for them?

These questions will help you decide what type of street performer to hire. The first thing to decide is whether you want an entertainer or a musician. Some performers play music, but they don’t have any musical instruments. Musicians will most likely have some sort of instrument, such as a guitar, piano, violin, etc. The difference between the two is that an entertainer may do things like juggling or magic tricks while they sing and dance; while a musician is someone who plays an instrument and sings.

The next thing to decide is how many people you want to entertain. If you are planning on having more than one person at your event then it would be best to consider hiring multiple performers. This way everyone can enjoy the show at once!

Street performers are a great way to add excitement and wonder to your next event! They are the perfect entertainment for festivals, parades, parties, and more. But what do you need to know before hiring street performers?

Here are some basic guidelines:

1. Tip jars at each performance location. A street performer should have a tip jar at every performance location so that audience members can financially support them.

2. Proper signage with the name of the act by main entrances of the venue. When an act is performing in a large venue, it’s very easy for audience members to forget their name or get distracted and never see them again. Having proper signage by main entrances helps solve this problem.

3. Have enough space for the act to perform comfortably. A street performer needs enough space around their act so they can move freely without getting hit by passing traffic or other people walking by while they perform their act.

My company, Street Performers International, has been booking street performers since 1990. A lot of people have asked me over the years “How do I get a street performer for my event?” So I thought I would make a quick list of suggestions and guidelines.

1. How Much Does It Cost? The rule of thumb is $250 to $300 per hour per person. The more unusual the act, the higher the rate.

2. What’s Included In That Price? Generally speaking, the price includes travel expenses within a two-hour radius of your event’s location and one performance hour (more on that in a moment).

3. What About Travel Expenses Outside Of The Two-Hour Radius? Yes, there will be additional travel expenses for cities or locations that are outside of that radius but not always. If we ar

One of the most important aspects of a street performer is their ability to capture an audience and keep them engaged. The street performer is usually the first thing that people see when they enter your event, so it is important to make sure that you hire the right one. There are a few different types of entertainers; some are much better suited for outdoor events than others. You should consider what type of people will be attending your event, and how long you expect them to stay. If your guests are mainly older individuals who do not typically enjoy loud noises or being startled, then hiring a juggler might not be the best idea.

When looking for a street performer for hire, make sure that you do research on the different types of entertainers available. Talk to other people who have hired street performers before and ask them what they thought about them. You may also want to check around with local colleges, universities, or community colleges; some of these schools offer classes in entertainment and performance art which can help you find the right person for your event. Ask each school if they offer any type of certification program as well; this will show you that they have trained their students properly before allowing them to perform at your event.

Different types of skills:

Juggling-Juggling has been around since 3000 BC, it is one of the oldest forms of entertainment in history! A juggler can perform with or without music. Juggling can be done indoors or outdoors (unless there is rain). It is great to entertain people while they are eating or waiting in line (it can break up the monotony).

Stilt Walking-Stilt walking has been around since ancient times. This skill is best performed outdoors where there is a lot of room to roam freely. Stilt walkers are able to be seen above crowds which makes them really stand out at festivals and fairs as well as parades and outdoor events.

Balloon Art-Balloon art is a cute way to entertain guests at special family events like birthday parties, school

As a street performer myself, I have learned the ins and outs of the business. I am a professional magician and for years have traveled around the world performing shows not only on the streets, but in corporate events and on cruise ships.

I have seen first hand what works and what doesn’t. I have also had other street performers contact me asking for tips on how to book more gigs. I figured there has to be a market out there for this kind of information. Well here you go!

Audience-You can’t please everyone! My first tip is to find your audience. Not all street performers are right for every event or location. It’s important to know who your audience is going to be when trying to book an event. If you are booking a children’s birthday party, you don’t want a fire eater or sword swallower (unless of course that’s what they want). If you are booking a company picnic with mostly middle aged men, they probably don’t want to see a clown.

What I do as a magician is fun for all ages, so it’s very versatile in that way!
