I love street performers.
As a New Yorker, I grew up on the subways and buses, and spent many a happy hour watching street performers, from the ubiquitous guitarists to the breakdancers to the guy who balances a broomstick on his chin.
So when I heard about another busker blog, it was only natural that I’d want to check it out. And there’s one in particular that caught my eye: My Thoughts On The Best Street Buskers In The World. It’s exactly what it sounds like: a blog about my favourite street performers around the world.
The site is full of photos and videos of some incredible acts. There are high-quality videos of street dancers in London, jugglers in Paris, acrobats in Singapore, and tons more.
My Thoughts On The Best Street Buskers In The World is a blog about my favourite street performers around the world. As a traveller and musician I’ve seen some crazy performances. From that guy in Italy that can play the piano with his nose to the drunk Aussies playing drums on the streets of Paris I have seen them all.
If you love music, street culture and travel then this is the blog for you! I’ll be writing about my experiences on the road and what I think are the best performances in each city.
I look forward to sharing my journey with you!

There are many types of street performers, from stuntmen to fire breathers, living statues and jugglers, but my favourite type of street performer is the busker.
Buskers are people who entertain on busy streets with music or dance for donations.
The Best Street Buskers In The World blog features my favourite buskers from around the world, and I will be adding more in the future.
I love street buskers! If you’ve been to Dublin, I’m sure you’ll agree.
The best street buskers in the world will always be found in Ireland, and especially in Dublin city centre. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t other great performers around the world.
Buskers are very talented individuals who perform on the streets and other public places. They are usually musicians but they can also be magicians, comedians or jugglers.
Busking is a respected art form and buskers can earn a lot of money if they perform in the right place and gain popularity. While some buskers are known worldwide and make a living from their performances, others are less fortunate.
The most popular places for street performers are big city centres, particularly in tourist hot spots such as Paris, New York, London and Venice. Busking is also very common near Metro stations, as it is known to attract large crowds of people who will stop to listen to music or watch a performance in exchange for some change.
Some buskers have become internet sensations after videos of their performances were uploaded onto video-sharing websites such as YouTube. This has led to many of them appearing on television talent shows such as Britain’s Got Talent and winning record deals with major recording companies.
He was a tall, good looking guy with a strong French accent. He carried his guitar on his back, and only played when he had an audience that gathered around him. At the time, I was in the middle of learning guitar, so I knew my chords.
I listened to him play Beatles songs and some of his own, and thought to myself that I could probably play as well as he could. Then he did something strange: he began to stir a bucket with his foot while he played.
I thought it was weird but kept watching him. Suddenly, I realised that he had been doing it for a long time, and his guitar playing hadn’t missed a beat. The next thing I knew, he started juggling balls in the air while continuing to play and do everything else!
He seemed to be able to do anything at once – singing, playing the guitar and juggling – all of which were full-body movements. It was mind-blowing!
I’ll never forget what happened next: people started throwing money into the bucket. A lot of money! Euro notes of all denominations were flying in from all directions.
He then continued with more crazy antics like pulling out a violin bow and using it to play the guitar strings! Needless to say
