You won’t want to miss Park Street Performing Arts’ latest production of the hit musical “The Best Show Ever.” Featuring music by Adele and starring local theater star Laura Spencer, this show is one you won’t soon forget.
This story follows the rise and fall of fictional Broadway star Madison Elizabeth Montgomery. Madison grew up poor in a small town with only her mother, who she lost to cancer at age 7. Despite these painful beginnings, through hard work and determination, Madison made it big on Broadway by age 23. She was known for her role as Elphaba in Wicked and next starred as Eponine in Les Miserables. But just after she was cast in Les Miserables, tragedy struck again when a fire killed over 100 people at a show that Madison was headlining. As the sole survivor of the fire, Madison was plagued with survivor’s guilt and became an alcoholic. On top of that, she lost her voice due to smoke inhalation from the fire (and perhaps from all the screaming). The show follows Madison as she tries to make a comeback while dealing with personal demons.
In addition to this
Park Street Performing Arts has a long history of presenting community theater to residents of Park Street and the surrounding areas. This summer, PSPA will be mounting two productions in our historic 400-seat theater.
Our first production is “The Best Show Ever!” This show runs from June 22nd through July 7th, with performances each Friday and Saturday night at 8:00. We are currently in rehearsals, preparing to wow local audiences with an amazing blend of song, dance, and comedy.
We hope you’ll be able to join us for this exciting production!
Park Street Performing Arts Presents: The Best Show Ever!
Our second show of the season is another one for the whole family! “The Best Show Ever” is a two-hour production that will have you laughing, crying, and cheering.
The show starts with a young boy who is under the impression that he is a dog. He runs away from home. While away, he meets many people who teach him how to eat at fancy restaurants, learn to dance, and even magic tricks. Eventually, the boy becomes famous in the circus world and performs on Broadway.
His fame becomes so great that he eventually forgets where he came from and forgets about his family. Eventually, his best friend (a dog) saves him and reminds him of what it means to be human again.

I’ve been racking my brain for weeks now, trying to figure out what I should write about for this article. I have a good idea about the topic, but I’m still undecided about the angle I want to take. Should it be light and humorous? Serious? Informative?
If it were up to me, I would take a lighthearted approach and write something that is both fun and informative. So, here it is: my favorite thing about Park Street Performing Arts. Drum roll please…
It’s…The Show!
I love everything that The Show has to offer. From the moment you walk into the theater, you are swept away by its aura of charm. From the cast members who greet you at the door with an enthusiastic smile and a warm “hello” to the lively music that is playing in the background (which is always so fitting), everything just sort of melts away. It feels like home, almost as if you have stepped into a whole new world!
I hope you will join us on this exciting journey!
