The success of your street art depends on how you express and develop it. Your artistic ability is a skill that you can improve upon just like any other. It may be difficult to know where to start, but there are some tips we can offer to help you get started.
1. Create a portfolio and put your work in it. This is the best way to display your work so that others can see what type of street art you create.
2. Display your work in galleries or museums for exposure. The more exposure that you gain, the more likely people will purchase your work or hire you to paint public walls, buildings, etc…
3. Share your work on social media sites such as Instagram and Facebook. This allows more people to see and share your work which will increase exposure and sales of your street art.
4. Join online communities of artists and show off what you’ve created and learn from others in the community!
5. Experiment with different types of street art such as portraits, graffiti, murals, stencils, etc…to find out what you enjoy creating the most.
6. Try going out into public areas and drawing what you see around you such as people, animals, trees, buildings, signs, etc…this
1) Location, Location, Location! The first thing you will need to do is find a good location for your street art. This can be a difficult task and there are many things to consider. First, you will need to think about the time of day that you have available to perform. Some locations will only allow street art during the day, while others may not mind if you perform at night. Next, you will want to consider the type of audience that is most likely to be found in your chosen location. If it is a business district then you might want to set up shop outside of a popular coffee shop or restaurant.
2) Attracting an Audience: Once you have found a good location for your street art it is time to start thinking about how to attract an audience. You will want to make sure that your performance stands out from the crowd and does not blend into the background. One way of doing this is by using props such as chairs or tables so that people can sit and watch your performance. Another option would be wearing brightly colored clothing so that people cannot help but notice what you are doing.
3) Learn from Other Performers: A great way of improving at anything is learning from others who are already successful at what they do.
1. Do not be afraid of the crowd
It is quite all right if you are a little nervous at first but you need to overcome this fear in order to be a successful street artist. You will never get your message across if you are too shy or fearful of the people who are looking at your street art.
2. Show confidence in your work
The crowd will respect you as an artist and take your information more seriously if they can see that you have confidence in your work. They will not want to listen to a person who does not seem to have confidence in what they are doing or saying. If you do not believe in yourself, the crowd will not believe anything that you are trying to say with your street art.
3. Speak slowly so everyone can hear and understand
You need to speak slowly so that everyone can hear and understand what you are trying to say through your street art. You may know exactly what is going on in a piece of street art but there will be people who do not understand it as well as you do and they need time to process the information that they see before them.
4. Be prepared for questions
This brings up another point that is very important and that is being prepared for questions from the crowd concerning your street
1. Use reflection.
2. Make use of negative space.
3. Incorporate text into your art, but don’t be too obvious about it.
4. Keep it moving, don’t stop!
5. Define your style and stick to it, or at least stay consistent with the elements you’re using.
6. Don’t forget to look for inspiration from other mediums, like paintings and other types of visual art, and even music or writing.
7. Allow yourself to be influenced by your surroundings—but not by other artists who might be working in the area at the same time as you.
8. Stay true to yourself and your vision; don’t try to imitate another artist’s style and work just because they are more famous than you or because they have more street cred than you do right now. You will develop a unique voice over time that cannot be replicated by anyone else!
9. Be open minded about what materials you use in your street art—it doesn’t have to be all spray paint or stencils—you could also incorporate markers and pencils into the mix, too!
1. Make use of the local surroundings.
It’s always good to take a look around you before you start and try to figure out how you can incorporate what’s around you into your act. For example, if there is a statue nearby, you could use it as a prop or even make the statue part of your show. If there is a big tree in the background, you could use it as your backdrop. If there are people sitting nearby on benches or steps, use them! People love to watch themselves being part of the act. They will enjoy that, and they will stay longer to watch your show and support you.
2. Make sure that your costume fits the place where you perform.
When I say this I mean that when you are performing in an area with lots of tourists, dress up like one of them so they will feel comfortable with giving you money and enjoying your show. If you are performing in an area with lots of business people, dress up like one of them – suit and tie or something similar – so they will feel comfortable giving you money and enjoying your show as well. In short: adapt to your surroundings!
3. Make sure that your costume fits your character/act as well!
