Park Street Performing Arts-Theatre And Dance Academy is a performing arts academy in Park Street, Auckland. The academy is open to any student and family. The school was established in 2017 and offers various forms of dance including ballet, tap, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, and singing/acting lessons. The Park Street Performing Arts Academy is an afterschool program that has been running for 6 years and is open to all students in grade levels K-6. At the academy we offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop. The academy is a place where students can learn to dance but also be part of a community of artists that is committed to the arts.

We attempt to create an environment where each student has the opportunity to discover their own unique talents, explore their potential and develop confidence through dance.

We are a theatre and dance academy that teaches young performers aged 7-19 years in the art of singing, acting and dancing. We offer a supportive, encouraging and nurturing environment where every student is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

We believe that performing arts is a fantastic way for children to develop confidence, self-esteem and social skills. Our aim is to unlock hidden talents, nurture creativity and build confidence in every student. So whether you want your child to dance, sing or act…or all three!…we have something for everyone!

The Academy has been running since September 2007 and was established by Artistic Director Elaine Parker. Elaine has been involved in the performing arts industry for over 20 years in roles including: performer, choreographer, director, writer, producer, teacher and adjudicator. She is a member of the International Theatre Dance Teachers Association (I.T.D.A.) who are recognised by the British Theatre Dance Council (B.T.D.C) as an awarding body for dance qualifications. In 2010 she was awarded ‘Outstanding Achievement’ by the ISTD for her work with the Academy and her students have gone on to perform at professional level including: West End shows; Disney Cruise Lines; Summer Resorts
